Cezary Skubiszewski is a Polish-born Australian film and television composer whose work has received international acclaim winning numerous awards. Most notably Cezary is the recipient of four AACTA/AFI (Australian Academy Cinema Television Awards),  IFMCA (International Film Music Critics) Award  nomination for best film music and 12 APRA Screen Music Awards.

In 2003 Cezary received the Centenary Medal "For Service to Australian Society and Australian Film Production” and in 2010 the FCCA Life Achievement Award "In recognition of services to Australian cinema".

​Cezary is the recipient of 2026 APRA Distinguished Services to the Australian Screen Award.

Cezary' music from a feature film "Blessed",was performed in concerts by Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in 2017 and from "Red Dog,by Queensland Symphony Orchestra in 2018. Cezary was a musical director of APRA Screen Music Awards in 2008 and 2011.

Skubiszewski has composed music for 85 films and television programmes and has received a total of 33 awards. He has composed and recorded music in Australia, Poland, the USA, the UK, France and the Czech Republic. For the music for Big Ad he won the Gold Award at Cannes 2005 in France. 

In 2016 the soundtrack album Red Dog-True Blue reached number one on the ARIA album charts, and the title track The Search from the film ”Red Dog” The Search has been listened more than two million times online.

For the music to the Polish film Jeziorak he received the award for the best music 2014 LKFDF /ZAIKS “Młodzi i Film”, and for Mosquito State 2020 (co-production with the USA) he received Polish Film Award - Orzeł. In 2008 he was awarded the Film Muza Award "Composition of the Year" for Death Defying Acts Suite from the film Death Defying Acts.

In 2020 he became a member of the European Film Academy. 

In 1980 Skubiszewski was commissioned by the Australian Arts Ministry to compose the Symphony Home at Last. 

In 1981 an orchestral performance of the Symphony was broadcast on national television.

His composition titled Soundscape (1990/1991) received rave reviews at the Melbourne and Adelaide Arts Festivals.

Compositions from the films Blessed and Red Dog have been performed numerous times in concerts by the Melbourne, Adelaide and Queensland Symphony Orchestras and in performances of the Australian Outback Show.

Cezary conducted the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for two Cinema/TV ads – “The Bottle Symphony” and Carlton Draught "Big Ad' - both became sensations all over the world.

His music has been released on 26 soundtrack albums and is also available on all major digital media. Printed and digital sheet music of selected Skubiszewski film scores is available through the Australian Music Centre.
